Disposable Base Molds

Disposable base molds offer ease and convenience of operation. They are inexpensive enough to be discarded after use, yet strong enough to be reused. Thanks to the specially formulated plastic material, they offer excellent thermal exchange. They have a smooth interior finish and rounded corners to facilitate their removal. Also, they are available in the same variety of sizes as metal molds and can be used with the same styles or types of cassettes and embedding rings.

Cryomolds and Adapters, Tissue-Tek

for use with Tissue-Tek® II M / C
Tissue-Tek® Cryomold creates a uniformly shaped, flat-surface specimen blocks with O.C.T. Compound for frozen sectioning. Disposable plastic molds fit Cryobar freezing wells. Available in 3 sizes: standard (25 x 2 0 x 5 mm.) fits directly into the Cryobar freezing wells, biopsy (10x10x5mm) and intermediate (15x15x5mm) require adapters for optimum uniform freezing in the Cryobar. Cryomolds are provided 100 per package. The Cryobar adapters are provided 12 per case.
